How you imagine it VS how it actually may be or is could be vastly different.
We’ve all grown up watching movies, content, shows, reading comics, playing games, enjoying transmedia storytelling and tracking the same narrative as fans across different platforms, products and experiences of the particular franchise or storyline. So, it’s obvious that the fandom itself is not linear. It could be or is non-linear. Then why do we only engage in a linear way? There are many things to be careful about when planning how to communicate and bring a title into the world or back into a user’s world and when we work on a new brief for movie, show or entertainment marketing or to build consumer experiences it always helps to understand this ecosystem in its entirety as opposed to just working from assumptions. It’s a huge world out there and only true fans and followers can help you navigate this multiverse and fandom.
